The story
Datavault AI and Mandela Dlamini & Manaway L.L.C., the Wyoming-based organization stewarding Nelson Mandela's vision of equality and human dignity, announced Mandela Digital Ventures, a joint venture to develop and launch a suite of digital asset products. The collaboration creates blockchain-based financial tools designed to drive financial inclusion for underserved populations worldwide, with a portion of proceeds supporting charitable causes inspired by Madiba's values. Products are slated to launch in Q2 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
I didn't close this deal, but I did the backend support for it and I designed the 3D commemorative coin attached here. The brief was Ubuntu, "I am because we are," translated into a single object that's gold, restrained, and ceremonial, with a portrait language built to carry weight rather than chase trend.
Standing alongside the Mandela family on a financial-inclusion initiative is the kind of work I want my craft attached to. Quiet contribution behind a louder banner, exactly where I'm comfortable.
